At Youngs Scaffolding, safety is built into every structure we erect. We operate in compliance with current UK health and safety legislation.
Accreditations
Youngs Scaffolding is CITB registered and CHAS accredited. We hold Constructionline Silver membership and are an Assessed Member of the Scaffolding Association.
Qualified scaffolders
Scaffolders employed by Youngs Scaffolding hold current CISRS cards.
Risk assessments & method statements
RAMS documentation is provided for projects on request and written specifically for the site.
Scaffold inspections
Scaffolds are inspected before handover and at least every seven days thereafter in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Inspection records are available on request.
TG20 & SG4 compliance
Scaffold design follows TG20 guidance for tube and fitting scaffolds. SG4 working-at-height practices are applied during erection and dismantling.
Pavement licences
Where scaffolding extends over a public pavement or highway, a Section 169 licence under the Highways Act 1980 is required from the local authority. Requirements, timescales and fees vary by local authority.
